About
Jackson LaSarso
I'm a community planner at Saratoga Associates in upstate New York. My work focuses on housing, economic development, and economic impact and significance studies. Recently, I've helped prepare studies of Schenectady's parks and the Tupper Lake Memorial Civic Center, from the analysis and report writing to presenting our findings to local officials.
Before Saratoga, I worked in real estate at Smith & Roller in Philadelphia. I used development pro formas to test how changes in affordability and unit mix affected a project's finances, and worked through financing proposals and public funding applications with the team.
I've also worked in transportation planning with the Orange County Transportation Council (OCTC) and Transit Orange, and served on Queensbury's Planning Board and as a Zoning Board of Appeals alternate. I now teach Environmental Planning and GIS Project Management at UAlbany.
